At Switchroom, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and share information when you visit switchrm.com, place an order, subscribe to our services, interact with our content, or authorize one of our first-party Pinterest or Reddit integrations.
Information we collect
- Contact and delivery information, such as your name, email address, shipping address, and order details.
- Payment information processed by our payment providers. Switchroom does not store complete payment-card details.
- Website and device information used for security, analytics, and service improvement, such as pages viewed, referral source, browser type, and approximate location.
- Messages, preferences, and other information you choose to provide to us.
How we use information
- To fulfill orders, manage subscriptions, provide customer support, and communicate service information.
- To provide relevant content and style suggestions when requested.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve our website and services.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Switchroom, our customers, and our services.
Pinterest API integration
Switchroom Content Publisher is an internal, first-party tool used only to manage content for Switchroom’s owned Pinterest Business account. It is not offered to customers or third parties and does not ask Pinterest users to provide their Pinterest password.
Pinterest information accessed
After the Switchroom account owner authorizes the integration through Pinterest OAuth, the tool may access only the information needed to operate the owned account:
- The authorized account’s username, account type, and non-secret account identifier.
- Owned Board identifiers, names, and related metadata needed to select and verify a publishing destination.
- Owned Pin identifiers, URLs, content metadata, and available organic performance information needed for readback, deduplication, and reporting.
- Content, links, titles, descriptions, accessibility text, and media that Switchroom has selected for publication to its owned account.
- OAuth access and refresh credentials issued by Pinterest. Switchroom does not receive or store the Pinterest account password or Pinterest browser-session cookies.
How Pinterest information is used
- To verify that the integration is connected to the intended Switchroom Business account.
- To read and select an owned Board and publish Switchroom-owned Pins chosen through the internal approved-content queue.
- To prevent duplicate publishing, record authoritative Pin results, and read owned Pins and available performance information for internal reporting.
- To maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the integration.
Switchroom does not use Pinterest API information to build profiles of third parties, train artificial-intelligence models, target people outside Pinterest, or sell Pinterest data.
Pinterest storage, retention, and deletion
OAuth credentials are stored in restricted private configuration available only to authorized Switchroom operations and are rotated through Pinterest’s supported refresh process. Operational records retain only the minimum information needed for delivery integrity and audit, such as an internal delivery identifier, destination Board, Pinterest Pin identifier, public URL, timestamp, and sanitized error state.
Pinterest credentials and locally retained Pinterest API information are removed when the integration is disconnected, authorization is revoked, the information is no longer needed for the purposes described above, or deletion is required by applicable law. Backup or security records may persist only for the limited period required for recovery, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or system integrity.
Pinterest sharing, revocation, and deletion requests
Switchroom does not sell Pinterest information. Information is shared only with Pinterest as needed to perform the requested Pinterest operation, with infrastructure providers that process information for Switchroom under appropriate restrictions, or when required by law. The integration is not shared with another brand or business identity.
The Switchroom account owner may revoke the integration through Pinterest account settings. Requests to disconnect the integration or delete applicable retained information may also be sent to privacy@switchrm.com. Revocation stops new API access; Switchroom will then remove credentials and applicable retained Pinterest API information subject to the limited obligations described above.
Reddit API integration
The proposed Switchroom Reddit integration is an internal, first-party tool used only to support Switchroom’s owned Reddit presence. It is not offered to customers or third parties. The integration will operate only after Reddit approves the use case and the Switchroom account owner authorizes it through Reddit OAuth. Each Reddit write will be explicitly initiated by the owner; this application does not request unattended or scheduled posting as the human account.
Reddit information accessed
The integration will request only the minimum approved permissions needed to verify the authorized Switchroom account, review selected public discussions and community rules, and manage Switchroom’s own eligible contributions:
- The authorized account’s username and non-secret account identifier.
- Selected public posts, comments, subreddit names, subreddit rules, and related public metadata needed for bounded community review.
- Switchroom-owned post and comment identifiers, public URLs, timestamps, and content needed for readback, editing, deletion, and duplicate prevention.
- OAuth access and refresh credentials issued by Reddit. Switchroom will not receive or store the Reddit account password or Reddit browser-session cookies.
The integration will not request private-message, vote, moderation, advertising, account-management, or bulk-history access under this application.
How Reddit information is used
- To verify that the integration is connected to the intended active Switchroom account.
- To review selected public discussions and current community rules before an eligible action.
- To publish an approved original post, comment, or reply and to edit or delete only Switchroom’s own eligible content.
- To prevent duplicate activity, record authoritative Reddit results, and maintain a minimal action audit.
- To secure, troubleshoot, and rate-limit the integration.
Every write will require an exact-account check, current subreddit-rule review, destination and context review, and duplicate check. Switchroom will not scrape Reddit, build a bulk user archive, train artificial-intelligence models on Reddit data, infer sensitive characteristics, manipulate votes, send automated private messages, evade a ban or rate limit, or sell Reddit data.
Reddit storage, retention, and deletion
OAuth credentials will be stored in restricted private configuration available only to authorized Switchroom operations. Selected public content will be processed only for the approved action, will not be retained as a bulk archive, and will be deleted promptly when it is no longer needed for that action. Operational records will retain only the minimum information needed for delivery integrity, duplicate prevention, safety, and audit, such as an internal action identifier, Reddit content identifier, public URL, destination subreddit, timestamp, and sanitized terminal state, and only while those records remain necessary for those purposes.
Reddit credentials and locally retained Reddit API information will be removed when authorization is revoked, the integration is disconnected, the information is no longer necessary for the approved purpose, Reddit requests deletion, or deletion is required by applicable law. Limited security or legal records may persist only for the period necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance, or system integrity.
Reddit sharing, revocation, and deletion requests
Switchroom will not sell Reddit information. Information will be shared only with Reddit as needed to perform the approved Reddit operation or when required by law. No Reddit API information will be disclosed to a third-party processor unless Reddit’s written terms or approval expressly permit that processor. Reddit data will not be shared with another brand, customer, data broker, advertising audience, or model provider.
The Switchroom account owner may revoke the integration through Reddit account settings. Requests to disconnect the integration or delete applicable retained information may also be sent to privacy@switchrm.com. Revocation will stop new API access; Switchroom will then remove credentials and applicable retained Reddit API information subject to the limited obligations described above.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us process payments, deliver orders, host and secure our services, provide analytics, or perform other services on our behalf; with platforms you authorize, such as Pinterest; and when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including service delivery, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Switchroom applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, limits access to operational systems, and keeps credential values out of public code and reports. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and contact
You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and necessary recordkeeping. You may also unsubscribe from marketing communications using the link in the message. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@switchrm.com.
Operator and privacy contact
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, Switchroom is operated by Second Surface LLC. Privacy inquiries may be sent to contact@switchrm.com or to 4114B Main St, Apt 808, Flushing, NY 11355, United States.
Google data used by Switchroom Operator
Switchroom Operator is an invitation-only business workspace used by authorized Switchroom owners, managers, staff, and contractors. It connects approved Switchroom Google resources so those people can carry out assigned business operations without receiving or storing the underlying Google credentials on their own computers.
Data we access
When the Switchroom owner connects Google, the workspace may access approved data from Google Analytics, Search Console, Calendar, Tag Manager, Merchant Center, YouTube, and Google Ads. Access is limited to the Switchroom accounts, properties, calendars, containers, merchant accounts, channels, and advertising customer IDs configured by the owner.
How the data is used
Authorized operators use this data only to measure Switchroom performance, maintain search and tagging configuration, coordinate Switchroom-owned calendar events, manage Switchroom product listings, read or upload content for the Switchroom YouTube channel, and read Switchroom's own Google Ads account and campaign reporting. The Operator does not create or modify ads. Google user data is not sold, used for unrelated advertising profiles, or used to train general-purpose AI models.
Access, storage, and sharing
Each operator signs in with an individually invited account and receives a role with limited permissions. Google access and refresh credentials are kept server-side and are not shown to operators, stored in their browsers, committed to source control, or intentionally written to application logs. Authorized contractors may see only the data needed for their assigned Switchroom work and are not permitted to use it for another client or purpose. We do not transfer Google user data to unrelated third parties except service providers needed to securely host and operate the workspace, or where required by law.
Retention, deletion, and revocation
Operational results and audit records are retained only while needed for Switchroom business, security, accounting, or legal obligations. An owner can disable an operator, disconnect a Google connection, or request deletion of stored Google-derived data. You can also revoke Switchroom access from your Google Account permissions. To request access, correction, deletion, or further information, contact contact@switchrm.com.
Google API Services disclosure
Switchroom Operator’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
